A Robertson Family Christmas
Hunter Clarke wanted one thing for Christmas: to spend it with his dad and his brother. He misses being included in any guy trips since his parents divorced and he went to live with his mom. So he’s less than happy when his mother tells him that he won a contest to spend Christmas in West Monroe, Louisiana, with a family named the Robertsons. For some reason, they’re supposed to be a big deal. How did he win a contest he didn’t enter? Besides, he’s never heard of them and sure doesn’t want to spend Christmas in a swamp with a bunch of strangers. Korie Robertson is excited to open her heart and home to Hunter and show him what the Christmas season looks like for the Robertson family. And like it or not, Hunter experiences it firsthand. From duck-hunting disasters with the bearded guys, to learning to cook with Miss Kay, Hunter quickly discovers what it’s like to live with this boisterous, yet loving family. Putting on his headphones and ignoring them is not an option. Before long, Hunter begins to let his guard down. But with Christmas and the end of his trip fast approaching, will it be too little, too late? Or will Hunter be open to the greatest gift of all?

The Women of Duck Commander

release date: Apr 01, 2014
The Women of Duck Commander
The wives of the Robertsons all came into the family the same way: they fell in love with one of the Robertson boys. Now, learn surprising insights about the women behind these famous bearded men and what makes their family work. In the Duck Dynasty TV series, the women often come into their own when the whole family gathers around the table together to eat dinner, and fans of the show get a good glimpse into their lives, but that is hardly the whole story, which is why they decided to write this book... In The Women of Duck Commander, the wives show how they have worked together to help one another and to support the family in all its work and its happiness. They are committed to timeless values, and in the book they share the insights, stories, and experiences that have made them who they are. The appeal of the Duck Dynasty comes, not because they are showing us anything new, but they are reminding us of the values our culture is in danger of losing.

Duck Dynasty: Family Faith and Family Fun

release date: Sep 14, 2013
Duck Dynasty: Family Faith and Family Fun
Duck Dynasty is a hit and already established as the quirkiest and most enjoyable reality television series centered on the lives of the Robertson family from West Monroe, Louisiana. Patriarch Phil Robertson created the duck call and started the company, which has made the family very wealthy. (Hence the "Dynasty" part of the show.) But even though they may have large homes, the Robertson brothers love hunting and fishing and proudly proclaim themselves "rednecks."Phil was a star quarterback at Louisiana Tech but turned down the offer to play in NFL because he didn''t want to miss the duck season where he began his business and spent 25 years making duck calls from Louisiana cedar trees. The now multi-million dollar enterprise is managed by Phil''s third son Willie who is CEO of the company, while his brother Jase is the COO.Despite their wealth, they still wear camouflage prints, they hunt - shooting anything that flies or walks, they''re religious, and they''re full of subtle humor. The Robertsons are a traditional family who believe in guns and God.In the following pages you''ll get to know the family members in the Robertson family and learn why the show Duck Dynasty is watched by millions. As Willie Robertson said when asked by he believes the show is so popular - "We try to stick to our roots. We grew up not rich at all.We try to stay humble. We''ve been successful and God has blessed us. We always have a family prayer at the end of the show."

Self-Boring Pressuremeter in Pluvially Deposited Sands
This report presents the results of 47 self-boring pressure-meter tests (SBPT''s) performed in the ENEL-CRIS calibration chamber (CC). The tests were performed in dry and saturated Ticino and Hokksund sand. Pressuremeter tests were performed with the probe in-place during sample preparation (ideal installation) and with the probe self bored into the saturated sand. The purpose of the testing was to evaluate the performance of the self boring pressuremeter (SBP) probe under strictly controlled laboratory conditions and to critically review existing interpretation methods of the SBPT in sands. The SBP probe used in the study was the Camkometer Mark VIII manufactured by Cambridge In-situ Ltd., England.
