He has authored several business studies and served as a contributor to business news organizations. John lives on the North Fork of Long Island where he serves as a board member for healthcare and education organizations. This memoir chronicles his experiences as a board chairman, a nationally ranked tennis champion, and his various roles in between -- a boat builder, sailor, community activist, church leader, UNC Tarheel, mentor and more. John is a devoted family man and married to wife, Elinor. Together the family includes eleven children and their six spouses, and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
