Reputante is a rough, poetic account of the notable events in the life of Jason Jones, as well as the common occurrences happening between every sunrise and sunset. Jason hints at topics such drug overdose and recovery, lost love, and hope for a world gasping for air in the smothering of daily tragedy. However, Jason is not nearly as secretive about his distaste for roguish political practices, religious disobedience, and the breakdown of an ardent society. All of the poems in the collection were written in a four-year span, beginning in Jasonas sophomore year of high school and culminating in his freshman year of college. Jason was born in 1986 in Roanoke, Virginia, and he is currently still living in his hometown while attending Roanoke College. These poems are the map of a journey (often symbolic) through the meandering labyrinth that is the mind of a teenager.

It has been suggested that prediction may be an organizing principle of the mind and/or the neocortex, with cognitive machinery specifically engineered to detect forward-looking temporal relationships, rather than merely associating temporally contiguous events. There is a remarkable absence of behavioral tests of this idea, however. To address this gap, subjects were shown sequences of shapes governed by stochastic Markov processes, and then asked to choose which shape reliably came after a probe shape (prediction test) or before it (retrodiction test). These studies compared the effects of varying administration techniques (metered (MET) versus bolus (BOL)) during both water and carbohydrate electrolyte beverage consumption, on urine production and total rehydration. Urine color (UC) and urine specific gravity (USG) were also assessed to determine the reliability of these practical field measures of hydration status.
