Impractical Jesus: The Hardcore Truth About the Narrow Way
Imagine living in an isolated cell for three and a half years, only able to leave and have human contact for two hours a week. Now imagine having to contend with your thoughts day in and day out, reminded of past hurts and dealing with feelings of regret, unforgiveness, and rage. Questions of Why am I here? What purpose do I serve? Am I too far gone to change? This is the situation author James Reeves found himself in, and the Word of God pulled him out and saved him from himself.Impractical Jesus: The Hardcore Truth about the Narrow Way is the story of the author's spiritual transformation while serving a prison sentence. Through the book, James shares authentically about the struggles and challenges he faced in life which brought him to this place, as well as the immense volume of hurt he was carrying around. Through diving deep into studying Scripture, however, James learned about the love of God. By seeking the Lord's face through studying His Word, James learned how to let go of his painful past and what it truly means to walk in the abundance of the life God had created for him.Come along on the journey and experience what James did, spiritual restoration and understanding by immersing yourself in the Holy Scriptures. Learn about how Jesus lived and what that means for us as Christians today. When encountering the Lord through His Word, it is impossible for your life to not be radically changed. It happened for James, and it will happen for you too. On February 9, 1969 James Reeves was born in St. Charles Illinois and has been a tumbleweed throughout the United States. Adopted into a wealthy broken home, to living on the streets as a teen, through the many trials of life he was broken by his ignorance of life and God. 20 years ago James came to realize that there was more to life but he didn't know how to live it. So for 15 years he submersed himself in scripture. He focused on the human soul and how God created it and how God wanted him to apply Himself to life. Learning this knowledge became his life passion. Learning how to live by every Word of God is an on going process. Yet he has found a way and wants to share that with others that might be helped by His journey into God.
