Whitelaw in Charleston (S.C.) mainly concerns Heyward''s salary for lecturing at the acting school at the Dock Street Theatre (Charleston, S.C.); and a letter (n.d.) from Heyward to Whitelaw expresses sympathy for a financial "mess" and asks "why does the theatre have to breed so many litters of headaches?"
