Encapco Technologies sought to evaluate the efficacy of an emulsion treatment to stabilize depleted uranium through the chelation of the depleted uranium metal oxide. All work was done at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. The primary goald was to evaulate the use of the Encapco emulsion to stabilize depleted uranium. A secondary goal was to determine the impact of the Encapco emulsion on hydrologic processes and native vegetation.
