The Girl from Montségur
When Beatriu plotted revenge against a priest for an unforgivable act, she set of a series of events that lead to the eventual destruction of the Cathars of the Languedoc region in medieval France. The Cathar heresy (also known as the Albigensian heresy) resulted in the bloodiest of Crusades against a religious sect that set itself apart from the Catholic faith. Instigated by Pope Innocent III, it culminated in the final stand in the castle of Montsegur, which lead to the demise of the Cathar faith.

Half Blind

Half Blind
Opposites attract…and drive each other crazy. Freelance Magic, Book 1 Eight years ago, wizard Ashley Brandon thought his mentor was above the temptation to misuse magic. He was wrong, and the aftermath left him scarred. And determined to never again let anyone close. When he’s assigned to a task force protecting an ancient relic, he butts heads with the infuriating, charismatic Frederick “Charles” Greer. The man is completely unreasonable. And so is Ashley’s gut response to his outrageous flirting. Greer was only supposed to temporarily consult on the task force, but his admittedly unorthodox views on team building put him at odds with Brandon, one of the most attractive, frustrating men he’s ever met. The mission’s success requires complete cooperation, so Greer makes the first move to ease the tension. An apology leads to bickering, which unexpectedly leads them to the bedroom. But as that tension shifts into something more fierce, a brush with the relic’s power turns everything upside down. Leaving the mission—and Brandon’s heart—in even greater jeopardy. Warning: Contents may contain sartorial choices both exceptional and asinine, deception, thievery, magic, naughty language, and one hell of a MacGuffin.

Bookplates of the Kings

Bookplates of the Kings
Possibly the formal study of book plates can be dated to the work of Lord de Tabley in the 1880s. He attempted a schema of British plates, starting with the pre-Reformation period and identifying Jacobean, Queen Anne and Georgian styles. Plates as a reflection of the times have continued to multiply and, with the advent of the ebook, a growing number of plates are appended to electronic books. Royal bookplates, as this volume illustrates, are an important aspect of the subject. A Guide to the Study of Book-Plates (Ex-Libris), by Lord de Tabley (then the Hon. J. Leicester Warren M.A.) was published in 1880 in London by John Pearson of 46 Pall Mall. The book established what is now accepted as the general classification of styles of British ex-libris: early armorial (previous to Restoration, exemplified by the Nicholas Bacon plate); Jacobean, a somewhat misleading term, but distinctly understood to include the heavy decorative manner of the Restoration, Queen Anne and early Georgian days (the Lansanor plate is Jacobean); Chippendale (the style above described as rococo, tolerably well represented by the French plate of Convers); wreath and ribbon, belonging to the period described as that of the urn, &c.

Dear Dennis...
Dear Dennis A widow''s journey through the seasons of grief'' is a compilation of letters written by the author to her husband shortly after he died. He had been her best friend for over 30 years and she couldn´t imagine going a day without talking to him so she decided perhaps writing to him would soften the blow. She wrote 332 letters over the next 3 years. "I think there may have been a part of me that thought he might answer my letters but all have gone unanswered. Because she is writing to her deceased husband, her thoughts, emotions, and struggles become very real and heartfelt to the reader. She expresses the raw pain of grief; the denial, anger, regret, depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, guilt, if-onlys'', longing, insanity, rage and even physical pain.
