Scripts are often written for a specific place in time and sometimes become relevant once again. This is true for Jose Rivera’s Marisol; which was originally written in the early 1990’s. Under the direction of Beth Kattelman, I designed an operatic or “larger than life” scenic playground for Marisol at The Ohio State University. I began using hand sketching that transitioned into digital modeling software and ended with a full color physical model to help effectively communicate and produce my scenic design.
