He married Betty Jane Swanger, daughter of Merle Emerson Swanger (1894-1990) and Edith May Miller (1896-1984), 20 April 1940 in Bourbon Indiana. Ancestors descendants and relatives lived mainly in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, England and Germany.
