The alga Chlamydomonas appendiculata, Deason, was cultured under laboratory conditions of controlled photoperiods for a period of seventeen days. Upon completion of the cultivation period the algae were harvested and prepared for caloric determination by use of the model 1242 Parr adiabatic calorimeter. The caloric values were then evaluated and studied.
