The Church's Story: A History of Pastoral Care and Vision is is an overview of the two thousand year history of the Christian community in its efforts to engage in pastoral care. While the emphasis throughout the book is that of the Catholic story of pastoral care, nevertheless this story is frequently situated within the broader developments of pastoral care within other Christian churches, especially following the Protestant Reformation of the sixteenth century.
