The Duel Between Sir Alexander Boswell and James Stuart

release date: Aug 01, 2019
The Duel Between Sir Alexander Boswell and James Stuart
Sir Alexander Boswell (1775-1822) wrote Scottish songs that are still performed today, such as â oeJennyâ (TM)s Bawbeeâ . An extravagant character and a Tory, he wrote flagrant lampoons of his Whig opponents. One of them greatly incensed his Whig cousin James Stuart of Dunearn, who challenged him to a duel in which Boswell was killed. At his trial for murder, Stuart was represented as a peaceable man unaccustomed to the use of firearms. Nothing could be further from the truth. He served in the militia, was irascible and, at times, violent. This book tells the compelling stories of the remarkable tangled events that led to their quarrel. The duel marked a turning point in Scottish politics away from a turbulent and fractious past to a quieter future. The Whigs triumphed, paving the way for liberal Scotland. In addition, this volume includes, for the first time, many of Boswellâ (TM)s poems and witty lampoons.

Resurrecting and Reculturalizing the African Spiritual Mind
This book is a critical analysis of the African American religious spiritual system from an African centered perspective. Critical analysis must begin from a frame of reference, or a context. This analysis will be centered and contextualized from an African worldview frame of reference. Only an African centered worldview, will allow African people to understand themselves and Europeans, without the effects of contamination and brainwashing, which results from the European mis-education process inflicted upon African people.

Faith God & Power

release date: Nov 29, 2017
Faith God & Power
The purpose of this book is to inspire the reader with the idea that the ability to transform and heal, is within our own personal faith capability. We have to look no further than our personal inner selves for the power of God. The ancient wisdom that Jesus and others have shared, is that the kingdom and power of God is within. Some might call the teachings and ideas in this book "New Age." But it is really "Old Age" knowledge. Most of the ideas being presented are as ancient as Egypt, or Kemet as the Africans called the land, where many of the ingredients that make up Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and other religions originated. It is only considered new because the traditional religions have been slow to teach the people a truth that would set them free. Free from dependence on the religion itself. Belief systems tend to be self-validating and self-perpetuating, but seldom self-critical. The ability to think out of your theological box will enable you to evolve and grow beyond the limits of any particular system of belief.

May I Return the Flowers?
Why the Book I began teaching in 1990 as a substitute...the money wasn't great, so my driving force suggested I get a second job...I applied at a local Walmart Super Center and was hired in October of 1992. (I still work for them on a part-time basis, which means I have no life whatsoever) . Over the years, there have been so many stories-unbelievable, amusing, whatever. Friends would tell me to write a book about teaching, Walmart, General Dynamics (Electric Boat Division), and my year in Vietnam... I'm thinking..."Who really cares? Who would read it? Will an agent/publisher approve or will I become familiar with the word 'rejection?' I'm just an average guy." Well, it's time for the law of averages...Enjoy! Michael Moss It's Only Paper Many customers request cash back when they use a debit card. If they request $100.00, I ask them if they want 20s or a hundred dollar bill. If they say they want a big bill, depending on their mood, I might remind them that they only come in one size. About Michael Moss Biographical Info- He was born and raised in New London, Connecticut. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English at now defunct Windham College in Putney, Vermont, where he was mentored by the wrestling coach and author, John Irving. He began teaching in Florida and currently lives with his wife, Janette, in Henderson, Nevada. I met Janette in Fort Lauderdale in March of 1980... Isn't it coincidental that the Yankees just happened to conduct Spring Training there She took a day off so she could spend it with me on my birthday...so what did I do We're sitting poolside at the hotel, where a lot of the Yankees stayed...I excused myself to get my camera and photo album and spent some time talking with Graig Nettles and Ron Guidry... Lou Piniella walked by and accidentally touched her foot. I told her she was not showering for a few days. Somehow, she STILL married me a few months later on the Fourth of July. There is a picture on a table as you enter our house...it's Janette with Yankee owner George Steinbrenner...many people think he's her father...that would've been interesting.

Life's Best Practices

Life's Best Practices
The story of how you overcame the tests of life is your testimony. No test, no testimony. How we came through the test, becomes a life best practices or L.B.P. I have learned L.B.P's from my mother and father, mentors, ministers, brothers in the barber shop, teachers in school and from the cold hard streets of Detroit Michigan where I grew up. The idea of seeking out the best practice for any endeavor is wise. It is not necessary to reinvent the wheel. In order to take it to the next level, we must build on the wisdom of those who came before us. To go from just trying to survive, to learning how to thrive. From survival, to thrive-all. Success leaves footprints, and these steps to success are L.B.P's for others to follow. I once read that wisdom is learning from others mistakes. Wisdom is also learning from others successes or L.B.P's.

African Spiritual Systems

African Spiritual Systems
This book is guided by the fact that the ingridients that make up Western Religions, are derived from Ancient African Spiritual Systems. What I am positing in this book, is that African people must deify their own African culture to be mentally and spiritually free. We must practice Sankofa, and reach back and get our culture and history. We must give up the white pictures of Jesus/Horus, because image and the color of deities, do make a positive or negative difference in the African mind.

Red Pill Thuth Antidote
This book is intended to be an "Antidote" or "RED PILL" for readers that will reveal the truth, and open your eyes to see the true reality of racism white supremacy. This book will attempt to decode, define, and enable the readers to defend, and counter act, racism white supremacy. The major areas of people activity including: education, economics, entertainment labor, law, politics, religion, sex and war, will each be explored individually and systemically within the context or racism white supremacy. These areas of people activity were first enumerated by Neely Fuller in his book, The United Independent Compensatory Code/System/Concept. However, in order to advance Mr. Fuller's concept, this book will include the people activity of health, and also consider how racism white supremacy manifests as environmental racism, and negatively effects the health and wellness outcomes of people of color. The history and origin of the invented concept of race will be explored, as well as the history of racism white supremacy in America. In addition to Mr. Fuller, the work of our late great "Queen Mother" Dr. Frances Cress-Welsing, who was a colleague of Mr. Fuller, and who is to a large degree responsible for his work being publicized, will also be explored and considered. In order to provide a historical context, the history of the invented concept of race, Diop's Two Cradle Theory which explains the environmental conditions that produced the worldview that bred white racism, the concept of Maat which are the principles that govern man and the universe, the history of racism white supremacy and how it is manifested in all 9 people activities, including the added 10th people activity of "Health," will be considered and explored in this book.

Effects of Several Geometric Parameters on the Performance of a Multiple Nozzle Eductor System

Effects of Several Geometric Parameters on the Performance of a Multiple Nozzle Eductor System
Cold flow tests of a four nozzle eductor system were conducted to evaluate the effects of certain geometric parameters on eductor performance. Eductor performance was related to non-dimensional parameters governing the flow phenomenon developed from a one-dimensional analysis of a simple eductor system based on conservation of momentum for an incompressible gas. An experimental correlation of these parameters was developed and used to determine the effects of several geometric parameters on eductor performance. The geometries tested consisted of: two mixing stack lengths, 2 and 3 mixing stack diameters long; varying the distance between the primary nozzle exit plane and the entrance to the mixing stack; and addition of a conical transition to the entrance of the constant cross section part of the mixing stack. Within the range of variables tested, the longer mixing stack with a distance between the primary nozzle exit plane and the entrance to the mixing stack of about 0.5 mixing stack diameters without an entrance transition gave the best overall performance.
