After a toy maker offers $100,000 for the set and is refused, the hobo murders the old man and attempts to hide the body so that he can claim the money.

A Hollywood director who murdered a scriptwriter 35 years ago overhears his wife and her lawyer plotting to replace his new premiere with a film that the lawyer had produced reenacting the murder in order to convince the director that his victim has returned from the grave seeking revenge. When he enters the projection booth to confront them, the film strangles him. It turns out the lawyer did not have time to substitute the film after all, and both he and the wife were in the audience.

A stranger from out of town gets on the wrong train to go to a business meeting and is told that he must wait until the following day for another train.
