God Is Going to Use You Anyway

release date: Mar 01, 2013
God Is Going to Use You Anyway
Many people, young women in particular, struggle with low self-esteem. Instead of turning to Jesus, they turn to different men seeking to fulfill a desire that will only be filled by Jesus. Sexual immorality is a huge issue in the world today. It is an issue that Christians stray away from talking about, but it's an issue that should be addressed in the church. This book is not just the author's truth, but it's the truth of many women. Women of different races, ages, and religions struggle with sexual immorality. Regardless of what situation you are in now, or whatever situation you were once in, God will never give up on you. In the end always remember God Will Use You Anyway. Lisa Williams is a wife, a mother of three, a registered nurse, a graduate and current student of Christian Life Educators School of Theology Columbus, Ga, and she is an ordained minister at Word and Prayer Worship Center Meridian, Ms.

My Story

release date: Dec 09, 2020
My Story
As I started writing this book, it was suppose to be about encouraging people that were down or had no hope. I continued to write and realized that I was telling my story of my life and my weaknesses. I started getting comfortable and said to myself. "If you are going to write books the people need to know who you are. So i continued and shared some of the deepest things that I felt people should know and the things that I have encountered. I have always had the notion that God was looking out for me even in the unwise decisions that I have made. whether I was drinking, or in an unsafe environment God knew me but, i didn't really know him. I lived a life of drugs, alcohol, prejudice and attempted suicide but when I made the decision to come to God, my life changed for the better. I want you to know no matter how your life started out, it does not have to end there. My story is a book that will identify with some of your short comings, some of your experiences, some of your downfalls but will show how the love of God rescued me and my desire to have God rescue you. I learned that God needed me so I could not kill myself, I learned that God wanted me to love the way he loves and it didn't matter what the color of your skin was, I learned losing one brother made me appreciate and love the other brother who is my friend today. I hope this book will encourage you and get you to embrace Gods love that he has for you.

On Purpose: Strategies for Living and Leading

Between working from home, demands that don't fit neatly within an eight-hour workday, and growing factors affecting mental and emotional well-being, it's difficult to compartmentalize your professional identity from your personal life. For leaders, that brings new challenges when it comes to supporting the success of your people. As individuals, it requires greater clarity around what success means to you and how to achieve it. The key to building a future of work where both employees and the bottom line thrives is equipping individuals at all levels to create it. In On Purpose: Strategies for Living and Leading, the 13 authors address challenges faced by leaders, individual contributors and even entrepreneurs that aren't necessarily new, but whose impact are significantly changing how we live, work, and lead today. Topics including leading in times of crisis, creating a psychologically safe work environment, reclaiming your power when you feel professionally marginalized, overcoming fear, burnout, and habits that sabotage your productivity, and building authentic confidence. This book is the third installment in the On Purpose series published by Isha Cogborn and Epiphany Institute, focused on amplifying diverse voices in personal and professional development.

Perceptions of Alumni/foundation Directors from American Community Colleges Regarding which Alumni Relations and Fundraising Practices Provide the Greatest Value

release date: Jan 01, 2017
Perceptions of Alumni/foundation Directors from American Community Colleges Regarding which Alumni Relations and Fundraising Practices Provide the Greatest Value
Community colleges play a critical role within the realm of higher education in the United States, enrolling nearly half of all post-secondary students including a disproportionate number of low-income and minority students relative to four-year institutions. Yet, reductions in government appropriated funding provided to higher education institutions that were instituted as part of budget cuts enacted in response to the "Great Recession" of 2009 and largely remain in effect today have had a lopsided effect, taxing community colleges to a far-greater degree than four-year institutions. The impact of these budget cuts on community colleges have been two-fold as they have resulted in the elimination of programs offered by community colleges and a decrease in the quality of their offerings. Since the onset of the "Great Recession" of 2009, community colleges have begun focusing on alumni relations and fundraising practices to a previously unprecedented degree. During this time, certain colleges have outperformed their peers in terms of obtaining alumni donations and private gifts by large margins based on the annual Voluntary Support of Education (VSE) survey results. The purpose of this dissertation was to bridge an existing gap in research by providing insight into which alumni relations practices at community colleges generate the greatest value in terms of their impact on fundraising from the perspective of Alumni/Foundation Directors at community colleges that have had the most success recently in raising money relative to their peers. The analysis employed the social exchange theory as a theoretical framework for understanding the relationship between alumni donors and institutions. The most recent VSE survey results were analyzed to draw a purposive sample of institutions that have had the most recent success in obtaining alumni donations, and the Alumni/Foundation Directors of the institutions identified within the purposive sample received a survey instrument designed by the researcher, which was comprised of multiple-choice/fill-in, Likert-Scale, and fill-in questions. With respect to implications for practice, the findings offer administrators at community colleges insight into how to best allocate limited resources designated for alumni relations and fundraising to maximize the return-on-investment. Opportunities for future research are also provided that build on this research in order to further advance the understanding of alumni relations and fundraising practices at community colleges in the United States.

Die-Extrusion Method for Comparing Changes in Grease Consistency and Flow Characteristics

release date: Jan 01, 2013
Die-Extrusion Method for Comparing Changes in Grease Consistency and Flow Characteristics
The long-standing and sole method for determination of grease consistency has been the worked (and unworked) cone-penetration values. The 60 double-stroke worked penetration value, by an ASTM method, has served as the National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI) grade, for the purpose of specifying commercial classes of consistency. These consistency values have been effective for machine and lubrication system designers, as well as for grease manufacturers, for the purpose of matching up the right consistency of grease for a given equipment application. However, once the grease is in service, the cone-penetrometer test is no longer a viable method to evaluate changes in consistency caused by aging, mixing of greases, contamination by solids or liquids, oxidation of the grease, or other changes in the physical characteristics related to rheology and flow. In this regard, it has been difficult to establish and adopt in-service grease-analysis methods that adequately address adverse changes in consistency.
