A refined flare assembly will use a steel insert with the plastic flare section molded around it Injection-molding a plastic flare promises several potential advantages. An entirely, or predominantly, plastic flare assembly can be produced at a significantly reduced cost. Injection-molding the flare should also reduce the variability typically associated with machined parts. The flares could also be manufactured more quickly.

James Gready (1704-1791) was born in Ireland and immigrated to Georgia as a young man. He married Judith Postell (1760-1827) and they were the parents of three children. Descendants live in South Carolina and other parts of the United States.

Christopher Lewis Whaley was born in South Carolina in 1884. He married Caroline Tennent Baker and they had one daughter. Information on their ancestral lines and how they came from Virginia, New England, and Europe to South Carolina is included in this volume. Biographical data on many of these individuals as well as material on their descendants is given in this volume written by their son-in-law. Descendants and relatives lived in South Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Kentucky, North Carolina and elsewhere.
