Isaac Newton Simmons was born in Tennessee in 1851. He left his family and moved to Arkansas about 1870 where he married Samantha Ellen Woodall. They were the parents of thirteen children. Information on their ancestors, some of whom were Cherokee Indians, their lives, and their descendants is given in this volume. Descendants and relatives now live in Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas, and elsewhere.
