Abstract: "For each integer k, we produce a family of dense polynomials f(x) in a single variable with complex coefficients whose square, cube ..., kth powers are all sparse. That is, although f(x) has all nonzero coefficients, the number of nonzero coefficients in the jth power of f(x), j=2,3 ..., k, is bounded by a fractional power of deg f. This extends work of Erdös and Schinzel."
