The name, ''Felix Summerly'', is a pseudonym of Henry Cole, which he used from about 1841, mainly for his books for children. The frontispiece shows the painting of the Raising of Lazarus, by Sebastian Del Piombo. In-text illustrations show other pictures in the collection.
