The Third Eye
A book of personal photographs by renowned musician and Beatles guitarist George Harrison. Spanning the years 1963–9, The Third Eye will feature more than 250 intimate colour and black and white photographs – the majority of which are previously unpublished – of the Beatles at work and at play, from Liverpool to Shea Stadium to Adelaide to India, all taken by Harrison. Elusive Eden Elucidated

release date: Jan 13, 2016
Elusive Eden Elucidated
The Genesis and Exodus stories in the Jewish Tanakh and Christian Old Testament are indeed "simple" expressions of events long past, especially the stories about the Garden of Eden and Noah's ark. By twenty-first century standards, they are now deemed by many to be so simplistic as to be irrelevant at best, or at least fabrications to be mocked as baseless. These stories are neither irrelevant nor fabrications, as I hope to demonstrate via legitimate science and mainstream Christian/Jewish-scripture-without compromising either's intent or integrity. This book is all about trying to understand origins and ancient events as they relate to the Genesis stories. This is not about a new theology and not a new view of scriptural intent. It is about dealing with the physical to better appreciate the metaphysical. So, it's time to fasten seatbelts, place seat-backs and tray-tables in their full upright position, and stow preconceived notions and blinders in the overhead storage compartments...

Mutants and Hybrids of the Oenotheras

Mutants and Hybrids of the Oenotheras
"Mutants and Hybrids of the Oenotheras" (1905) explores the early research into plant genetics, focusing on the evening primrose genus, Oenothera. Authored by Daniel Trembly MacDougal, George Harrison Shull, and Anna Murray Vail, this scientific study details experiments involving the creation and analysis of mutant and hybrid forms within these plants. The work provides insights into the processes of mutation and hybridization, offering a valuable contribution to the developing field of genetics at the turn of the 20th century. Readers interested in the history of botany and the foundations of modern genetics will find this volume an important resource.
